Team member Professor Liu Hanyu explained to reporters that superconductors generally work at lower temperatures, which limits their use. Previously, scientists have used similar techniques to predict that pressurized compounds of lanthanum and hydrogen may be superconducting above any known temperature. Liu Hanyu said that the research is currently only theoretically predicted and needs to be realized under extremely high pressure, mainly to provide ideas for the design of atmospheric high-temperature superconductors. If the new calculation results are confirmed by experiments, the theoretically predicted superconductor may break the superconductor temperature measurement record set by the Hemley experimental team.
