Limits of harmful solvents in pesticide emulsifiable concentrates
1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and inspection rules for the allowable limits of harmful solvents in pesticide emulsifiable concentrates.
This standard applies to pesticide emulsifiable oil circulating within the territory of the People's Republic of China.

3 Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
Hazardous solvents:
It refers to the solvent (ingredient) of pesticide emulsifiable concentrate which has been confirmed to be harmful to production safety, human health and ecological environment, in addition to the active ingredients. This standard refers to benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, methanol, N,N-dimethylformamide and naphthalene.
Note: See Appendix A for the structural formula and basic physical and chemical parameters of benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, methanol, N,N-dimethylformamide and naphthalene.
4 The limits for hazardous solvents in pesticide emulsifiable concentrates are to comply with the requirements of Table 1.
