After more than 30 years and efforts of three generations of scientific research workers, the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, based on independent innovation, has achieved a major breakthrough in the production of low carbon olefins from methanol (DMTO) and industrialization in China. Up to now, 12 industrial units have been completed and put into operation, and the cumulative production capacity of ethylene and propylene has reached 6.46 million tons per year.
