The PC-based ATM monitoring system is very convenient for users because of its inherent flexibility and the use of standard operating systems (such as WINDOWS2000) and standard peripherals (such as mouse and keyboard). However, in order to save costs, some manufacturers use poor quality power supplies, fans and other accessories. After a long period of operation, the entire monitoring system collapses. In the market, it has caused users to have a bad impression of the PC-based ATM monitoring system.

In fact, if it can eliminate the influence of human factors and common weak links (such as power supply, fan, heat dissipation, etc.), it can ensure its long-term stable operation. There are also many successful cases in this regard.

Myth 2: The more monitoring objects, the better?

Since many monitoring R & D manufacturers do not understand the principle and structure of the ATM machine itself, it is proposed to use a three-way or four-way monitoring method on the ATM machine.

In fact, since the ATM machine itself cannot issue banknotes when dispensing banknotes, nor can it distribute banknotes when dispensing banknotes, so from the perspective of saving resources, these two routes can be completely realized by switching. Therefore, the best mode of ATM monitoring should be to use three cameras (person front, cash out, and currency distribution), use two-way synchronization (person front and cash outlet), switch between two ways (money outlet and cash distribution area) the way. In some occasions, there is no need to switch, and there should be bank environmental monitoring in the currency distribution area.

Misunderstanding 3. The richer the superimposed information on the monitoring screen, the better?

As ATM dedicated monitoring, card number capture is a basic requirement. But some people think that it is best to superimpose the transaction amount, balance, the number of cash out of each cash box and so on.

In fact, a lot of information does not belong to the scope of video surveillance, and some sensitive information of users is not suitable for disclosure within the scope of video surveillance. At the same time, a large amount of information overlay will also affect the background image.
