A few days ago, the expert group conducted a final acceptance of the national special science and technology major project “Special CNC gantry mobile turning and milling machining center for water chamber headsâ€. The responsible unit of the project is Qiqihar Second Machine Tool Group. The participating units are: Shanghai Heavy Machinery Factory, Yanshan University, Shanghai Electric Machinery College, Harbin University of Science and Technology. The goal of the project is to solve the problem of rough machining of the water chamber head of the nuclear power steam generator. The water chamber head workpiece blank 150t, the material is 18MND5, which is both hard and sticky, and the spherical surface and the multi-round table are connected to each other. The project requires that the machine table has a large load bearing capacity, and the tool holder has large cutting resistance and complicated processing technology. At present, the machine tool has been officially delivered, and the processed water chamber head parts have passed the test. The single-piece processing cycle has been shortened from the original 10 months to the current 1.5 months, and the overall user satisfaction.
The completion of this project will greatly improve the processing technology level and processing quality level of China's nuclear power evaporator water chamber head.
