3. BOM rivet: BOM rivet is a high-strength structural blind rivet, which is the ideal choice for high load and single-sided installation. It can meet the requirements of various conventional diameters and clamping ranges from 4.8mm to 19.1mm, effectively solving the fixing of the cavity profile only for single-sided perforated parts.
In contrast to the ring groove rivets, the BOM rivet eliminates the need for a collar so that it can be operated quickly and easily. When single-sided installation is required, the riveted parts should be closely fitted, and the gap should be no more than 1mm.
Installation process:
The connected side of the rivet is placed in the structural hole, and then the tool is riveted. The rivet gun tightens the clamping rivet rod of the rivet during the riveting process, and the end faces of the rivet body are squeezed and deformed, and the inner wall of the rivet body head is squeezed. The core of the mandrel is in the working ring groove, thereby fastening the components and having a high load.

4. Rivet hole requirements: After determining the position of the hole, use a special drill bit for drilling. Lubricating oil should not be used when drilling, and the axis of the hole should be perpendicular to the surface of the part where the rivet head is located. The deflection should be no more than 1°. And remove the edge burrs.
For the countersunk rivet, the rivet hole of the socket is required, the angle of the socket should be the same as the angle of the countersunk head of the rivet, and the center line should be coaxial with the center line of the hole, the coaxiality is not more than 0. 06mm, the deflection should be no more than 1°, and the opening on the side to which the nail head fits should be chamfered by 0.3×45°.
5. Place the rivet and rivet: The rivet should be placed in the vertical panel and should not be tilted. The following principles should be followed for the rivet: First, there should be enough space for the rivet to be riveted. Second, the rivet should be placed from the side of the part with a thin thickness or a small material strength. Third, the rivet head is placed as close as possible to the side that is in contact with the fuel and corrosive media.
