DuPont and Taiwanese companies develop new textile materials

At the Beijing Expo in May this year, Chen Rongji, general manager of the Asia Pacific Region of the DuPont Applied Biotechnology Group, said that Taiwan’s textile industry has been ranked first in the world in terms of artex and weaving. It is precisely because Taiwan has seen the textile industry. With the competitiveness of the upper-middle-stream and cross-strait economic integration behind the ECFA, DuPont decided to further strengthen cooperation with Taiwanese businesses, jointly develop and produce new textile materials, and enter the mainland market.

“After the signing of ECFA, cross-strait cooperation will be closer, which will increase the market space for Taiwanese cloth mills. At the same time, the mainland has publicly promised to promote CO2 emission reduction. At present, almost all Chinese apparel and apparel brand apparel companies plan to introduce some environmental protection products. The products made of fabrics can be imagined as big as the market. Next, we will continue to increase our efforts in R&D and production of new textiles and sell to brand customers in industrial clusters. Quanzhou is currently entering the target market.” He pointed out that in terms of Quanzhou area, DuPont has already reached cooperation with many brand enterprises.
