Security video surveillance industry will add new standards

It is reported that video applications have entered the security industry for more than 20 years.

In the past 20 years, the environment in which video surveillance is conducted has undergone a series of changes: network bandwidth has grown from 64Kbps in 1994 to 1000Mbps in 2014; chip processing speed (using Intel CPU as an example) has grown from 60MHz in 1994 to 4.0GHz in 2014.

The storage capacity was the world's first NAND flash memory released by Toshiba in 1987. From 2005 to 2014, MicroSD's capacity increased by a factor of 1,000. The same-size SSD jumped from 40MB to 960G in 1996. All this proves that video surveillance is in a state of rapid development from different perspectives.

For key security departments such as road monitoring, airport ports, financial institutions, and large buildings, it is necessary to consider the unified management of video surveillance, access control, and anti-theft alarm systems to achieve comprehensive linkage of the entire system. There are usually two modes for building an integrated integration platform. One is that the platform software integrates each subsystem directly at the device access layer. This needs to be specifically developed for other security devices, and business functions are implemented on the integration platform.

The other is that the internal business functions of each subsystem are realized by its special software. The cross-system business logic is realized by the upper platform software. Each independent subsystem can exert its own advantages, and the integrated platform also has good performance. The synergy. Either way, standardized requirements are placed on the integration of equipment and platforms, software and platforms.

At present, China's existing 28181 and SVAC countries have unified interfaces and implement mandatory standards for interoperability. However, it seems that these two standards are still far from enough, and loopholes still exist in many places. Recently, at the China Smart City Summit held in Shenzhen, the Assistant Director of the First Institute of the Ministry of Public Security and the researcher Yu Bing brought a message of concern. The security video surveillance technology field will add Two national mandatory standards, namely "Technical Requirements for Video Surveillance of Video Surveillance in Important Places for Social Security" and "Technical Requirements for Safety of Information Security for Video Surveillance and Networking", two standards have been approved by the Ministry of Public Security.

In order to ensure the scientific and orderly implementation of the integration and sharing of video image information across the country's public security agencies, in August 2013, the National Standards Committee issued the “Technical Requirements for Video Surveillance Image Collection of Important Places for Social Security” and the “Security Surveillance Video Surveillance” to the Ministry of Public Security. Networking Information Security Technical Requirements: The requirements for the formulation of two compulsory national standards, focusing on the video security measures and core key technologies at the information security level, focusing on the authentication of front-end devices and the credibility and encryption of video content. With more than one year's efforts, the current two standard projects have been reviewed and the related preparation work is ongoing. The two standards have extended the relevant applications of the two national standards GB/T28181 and SVAC (GB/T25724-2010) that have been issued and will jointly achieve the national video security standard system.

In another development, in order to ensure the deep application of video networking across the country's public security agencies, in October 2012, the Public Security Bureau's Branch Office approved the establishment of the Public Security Video Image Information Networking and Application Standards Development Team. Now it has completed the "Public Security Video Image Information Networking and Application. Standard System Table, approved by the Ministry of Public Security.

On October 15 this year, the compiling team held a meeting to compile the preparation of this standard system in Beijing, and preliminary drafted the drafting units and writers for each standard. The above two standards are also listed. The System Table is an important standard for video analytics applications and will certainly play a major role in the deep application of scientific testing for video information.
