Shanghai Petrochemical upgrades the self-control rate of steam boiler

The olefins division of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. has systematically optimized the water-steam boilers, and many measures have overcome difficulties and achieved remarkable results. At present, the Ministry has completed the optimization of the B furnace control system for the steam-starting boiler, and basically realized the full-process automatic control. The self-control rate of the steam-starting boiler has increased from 79% to 94%, and the fluctuation range of the key controlled variables has dropped to about 30%.
After the company's olefins steam start boiler changed from fuel combustion mode to oil-gas mixed combustion mode, the water vapor self-control rate has been at a low level of 79% for various reasons. In November 2018, the technicians of the installation teamed up with experts from Beijing University of Chemical Technology to analyze and study the boilers for water vapor, and proposed six new control schemes. In order to increase the safety and flexibility of maintenance, the department adopts a two-to-one or three-choice redundancy method, that is, the original control scheme is retained while adding a new control scheme, and the new and old control schemes are artificially switched by the selection switch without disturbance.
In December 2018, the water vapor B furnace was shut down for maintenance, and the DCS configuration and download of the new control scheme were completed. After the boiler was ignited and driven, the staff optimized and debugged the control plan, and the boiler self-control rate was significantly improved.
Next, the ministry will continue to optimize the boiler automation system to lay the foundation for the “black screen” operation of the boiler.
